Sandy Klein is of counsel to the firm and semi-retired. While with the firm, he concentrated his practice in the areas of taxation, financial and business planning.
Mr. Klein received his Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction, from Wayne State University in 1963, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School in 1966. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1967, and is also admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.
Prior to the formation of Kemp Klein, Mr. Klein was employed with the international accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand, and as an adjunct Professor of Law at the Wayne State University Law School.
Mr. Klein is a member of the Taxation section of the State Bar of Michigan, where he has served on the Tax Council. He is also a certified public accountant. He has lectured, authored professional articles, and served as a director of business corporations and charitable organizations.
He maintains an “AV” peer review rating with Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the highest peer review rating for attorneys.
